In 2012 I wrote about a piece about one woman's experience of a love she termed 'limerence'. A favorite album around my house at that time was Red by pop-country sensation Taylor Swift.
Red is all about 'crazy love', as Swift calls it. Here’s an excerpt from her CD notes, in color just as it appears in the original:
My experiences in love have taught me difficult lessons, especially my experiences with crazy love. The red relationships. The ones that went from zero to a hundred miles per hour and then hit a wall and exploded. And it was awful. And ridiculous. And desperate. And thrilling. And when the dust settled, it was something I’d never take back.
The girl has a way with words, doesn't she? I'll have to take a look at her birth chart, although there is no birth time available that I know of. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Venus is the planet of love, but red is the color of Mars, the planet of passion—including the kind she's talking about here. It's no accident that Mars is the ruler of the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces), as water signifies of our desire nature.
A link to the song follows, and after that the lyrics. It’s no surprise that this song was a huge hit when it first came out! Falling madly in love is one human experience we have all been through.
I present to you Ms. Taylor Swift, singing "Red": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQ0pP2z9niw

Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street
Faster than the wind, passionate as sin ending so suddenly
Loving him is like trying to change your mind once you're already flying through the free fall
Like the colors in autumn, so bright just before they lose it all
Losing him was blue like I'd never known
Missing him was dark grey all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met
But loving him was red
Loving him was red
Touching him was like realizing all you ever wanted was right there in front of you
Memorizing him was as easy as knowing all the words to your old favorite song
Fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there's no right answer
Regretting him was like wishing you never found out that love could be that strong
Losing him was blue like I'd never known
Missing him was dark gray all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met
But loving him was red
Oh red
Burning red
Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes
Tell myself it's time now, gotta let go
But moving on from him is impossible
When I still see it all in my head
Burning red
Burning it was red
Oh losing him was blue like I'd never known
Missing him was dark gray all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met
'Cause loving him was red
Yeah, yeah red
We're burning red
And that's why he's spinning 'round in my head
Comes back to me, burning red
Yeah, yeah
His love was like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street
